Cleaning

You do not need to clean the AirTouch F20 cushion every day. It is recommended to replace your cushion every month. If any visible deterioration of the cushion is apparent, the cushion should be discarded and replaced.

The memory foam cushion must not be submerged in liquid as this may damage the cushion and affect mask performance. If required, wipe the outside of the foam cushion with CPAP wipes or similar alcohol-free wipes and allow to dry.

Do not store or place the cushion in direct sunlight. Do not expose to domestic cleaning products or cleaning devices.

FAQ
+
The fabric of the AirTouch N30i is breathable and moisture-wicking2, reducing the chance that you will wake up to red facial marks1 and skin irritations. Nevertheless, it’s important to keep your mask clean and make sure it’s well-fitted as poor mask fit, and hygiene may contribute to irritations. To prevent skin irritation from your CPAP nasal mask, ensure a proper fit. An overly tight mask can cause pressure points, while a loose one may lead to air leaks and friction. Adjust the headgear to achieve a snug but comfortable fit. There are three cushion sizes, so you should be able to find one that’s right for you to prevent irritation. To avoid skin irritation, it's essential to clean the mask daily, as oil and dirt buildup can contribute to discomfort. You can use mild soap and water to gently wash the cushion and frame. Refer to your mask user guide for advice.
The lifespan of your mask depends on how often you use it, how well you take care of it, and the environment where it's used or stored. Since the mask and its parts can be replaced individually, it's a good idea to regularly check and clean them. Replace any parts or the entire mask, if needed, and follow the "Cleaning Your Mask at Home" section of the mask user guide for advice.
To start using your AirTouch N30i nasal mask, follow these basic steps:
Position the mask:
 1. Pull the frame and headgear over your head until the elbow is positioned on top and the headgear is behind your head.
 2. Place the cushion under your nose.
 3. Tighten or loosen the headgear until the cushion fits comfortably under your nose.
 4. Squeeze the side buttons on the elbow and detach from the frame. Connect the air tubing from your device to the elbow, then reattach to the frame.
Mask setting options: Ensure that Pillows is selected in the mask setting options of your ResMed device. For a full list of compatible devices for this mask, see the Mask/Device Compatibility List at ResMed.com/downloads/masks.
Adjusting your mask:
 1. When using the mask, air will flow out of the vents in the cushion and elbow. If air leaks from the side or top of the cushion, adjust the mask fitting to improve the seal.
 2. You can position the top of the frame forward or backwards over your head until the mask feels comfortable.
Always refer to your mask’s user guide for detailed instructions, as each mask has its own features.
Here's a basic guide to cleaning your mask:
 1. Disassemble the mask: Separate the cushion, frame, and headgear.
 2. Wash the components: Gently wash the cushion and frame with warm water and mild soap. Hand wash only without a bristle brush, which could damage the materials.
 3. Rinse thoroughly: Ensure all soap is rinsed off to prevent skin irritation.
 4. Air dry: Let the mask components air dry out of direct sunlight to avoid material degradation.
Make sure you read your mask user guide “Cleaning your mask at home” section.
To assemble your CPAP nasal mask, follow these steps:
 1. Connect the elbow to the top of the frame until it clicks.
 2. Insert each end of the headgear strap into the frame and fold the fastening tabs backwards. Ensure that the ResMed logo is facing outwards and is upright.
 3. Align the tab (a) on the cushion with the notch (b) on the vent, and then gently pull the cushion over the vent.
 4. Insert the ends of the frame into the cushion, ensuring that the arrows on the cushion and frame are aligned.
Always refer to your specific mask’s user guide for detailed assembly instructions to ensure proper fit and performance.
